SkyCode Horoscopes for November 13-19, 2017

Horoscopes to unlock the stars, not to be locked down by them. “Pretty hurts”   Three years ago, Beyoncé came out with “Pretty hurts.” The song moved me because, as a straight man, there’s not been much in my life with pop culture that highlights the cost of propping up the male gaze on what […]

Murdering Zodiac Myths–Scorpio, 1 1

MURDERING ZODIAC MYTHS A SERIES from DAR ALEXANDER   SCORPIO Slandered as the most villainous, self-serving bastard you don’t wanna mess with, Scorpio is the most butchered sign of all — and no mortal wants to feast on the meat. Scorpio is the “DARK” one. I already revealed that your lovely Libra, the scorpion’s claws, is the […]

Murdering Zodiac Myths–Libra, 1 1

MURDERING ZODIAC MYTHS A SERIES from DAR ALEXANDER   LIBRA Themis, titaness of law and order   Since we’re on the issue of JUSTICE this week, I say chaos is the balm for an unhealthy sense of order. So I’m even turning the order of the signs over on its happy head. In the mission to ignite […]

SkyCode Horoscopes for May 8-14, 2017

Codes to unlock the stars, not to be locked down by them. “Strategizing By The Stars” In my weekly Cosmic Practicum, we look at several charts, particularly the chart of the day. When we happened to look ahead to this week, we mused about a positive alignment between shifty Mercury and steady Saturn on the […]

SkyCode Horoscopes for October 31-November 6, 2016

Codes to unlock the stars, not to be locked down by them. Between Worlds The deep spiritual significance of Halloween (or All-Hallows Eve) gets lost in all the fun about trick or treating and getting in costumes. It’s a day where many believe it’s easier to pass between the world of the living and the dead. […]

Silence and turbulence

Between silence and turbulence…

If we’re connected through social media, either on Facebook or Twitter, then you might have observed I’ve been relatively quiet. I’ve even blacked out my avatars. I’ve been following the advice I usually give my clients when they’re undergoing a transit or some astrological forecast involving Saturn. As you may or may not know, I […]

Of Fawkes and “Freeze Up” Full Moons

Weekly horoscopes for November 3-9, 2014 photograph by Gary P. Caton, www.dreamastrologer.com The middle of the week is loaded with a full moon–two days after mid-term elections on Tuesday (here in the US) and a day after “Guy Fawkes Day” on Wednesday (in the UK). Needless to say, a lot will come to light this […]

Venus in Scorpio, eclipse, epic,

An epic eclipse horoscope post with a Venus cherry on top

epic eclipse horoscopes for october 20 – october 26, 2014   Last week, I talked about Mercury’s cazimic re-birth in the heart or throne room of Sun. This coming week is Venus’ turn, but it’s a superior conjunction during a solar/new moon eclipse in Scorpio. Um, can you say INTENSE, kids?! (Fittingly this is a […]

Check out this Facebook post from a news story:

It’s so ironic that this 30 year-old woman (about the time of her Saturn return) had just dropped off her master’s thesis (i.e. Saturn, one’s completed work and embodiment of one’s role in society) and then almost drowned in a flash flood. Then she’s rescued by a mysterious stranger, but erroneously proclaimed a casualty of the flood in the interim. Quite a surprise for her co-workers and family to discover she’s very much alive. Scorpio, a water sign, relates both to the water in the story, the mysterious stranger and her near-death experience. Quite a Saturn Return story! I love it when I find astrology in the news!

How not to end up a “Skewpio”

I don’t know anything about dude running, but he’s clearly attempting to portray himself as a European classical idea of Jesus Christ,  according to a Detroit TV station. I guess he’s taking “he who endureth til the end” to a whole new level. And that got me reflective on yesterday’s eclipse and the other […]

The Churning… 1

Today, Mercury “conjoins” with Saturn. Literally Mercury gets hooked at the hip with Saturn (from the Earth’s perspective). But what it means is that it’s a time for ponderous thoughts and some thoughts could get too heavy, even for speaking or writing. So it’s no wonder that I don’t feel inclined to write so much […]
