In the opening scene for CW’s new The Flash, before I even looked at lead actor Grant Gustin‘s astrology, his body type, pace of movement, the glimmer in his eye uncannily recalled for me the famous sorcerer from BBC’s hit series Merlin, played by Colin Morgan. Imagine my smile to realize the astrology affirmed my feeling: Grant Gustin and Colin Morgan are Astro Twins!

Your Sun and Moon combo in astrology is your main makeup. Grant and Colin are both Sun in Capricorn, Moon in Virgo.MerlinandtheFlashTwins

The key statement for this combo? Dedication!

Capricorn is the sign of the warlock. Ruled by all that affixes us to matter, Saturn, it’s as if he has the Earth and its raw materials at his disposal to condition and manipulate, as with sorcery. All Capricorns have a bit of unmistakable mischief in them, even though they appear so grounded. Saturn is also the gateway between this world and the next: the outer planets.

Merlin and Barry both have roots in this world (they appear to be ordinary guys) but what makes them extraordinary is from the next. Superpower, anyone? Capricorn is a man on a mission with his eye on the prize — at his best, on what’s meaningful.

Sometimes the greatest treasure is helping others. The memorable Merlin, disguised as a servant, slaved away at his mission to forge Arthur’s kingdom, without a shred of credit. Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen also has an innate Virgo Moon need to be of service. In other words, to be a hero.

The big reward for Merlin, which we can expect replicated in The Flash, was succeeding in his mission, for the Virgo good-of-all.

Another Merlin? I’ll take it!
